This Alternative Operation of Catalonian Airlines is considered as a Fly-In and pretends to stimulate the use of the traditional navigation systems based in navaids placed on land.
This event is open to other virtual airlines and VATSIM pilots.
DESCRIPTION
Departure either from Reus (LERS) and destination Maó (LEMH) or vice-versa. It is only allowed to use the classical IFR procedures. The use of FMC, GPS or any other flight guidance system is absolutely forbidden. The use of FSNavigator in FMC mode is also prohibited.
It is recommended to reduce to the minimum the use of the autopilot or, even better, do not use it at all.
Small or medium sized propeller aircraft are recommended (Cessna, Beechcraft, Douglas, DC3, etc.).

Departure is on May 17th 2008 at 17.00 LT (15 UTC) from Reus (LERS) or Maó (LEMH)
No registration is necessary.

To professionally fly this operation, some real charts are necessary which can be downloaded at AENA AIP. Registration is necessary but free.
Once in the page, in the menu at the left, click on AD-Aerodromes.
Once inside this section, click on AD 2 - Aerodromes in the menu of the middle of the page.
In the aiport list, look for LERS and LEMH and download the charts you may need.
